Set up rooms and resources
A room is a bookable space inside a location, like "Main-room". Every location needs at least one room so that classes and appointments have somewhere to happen. Rooms are added inside each location.
You need the owner or manager role, with access to the location.
Add a room
Go to Settings -> Locations and open the location.
Open the Rooms tab.
Click Add room.
Enter a Name (for example, "Studio A") and a Capacity (the number of spots). Capacity must be at least 1.
Click Save.
The Planning -> Rooms page shows all your rooms, but you add and edit them from a location's Rooms tab.
How room capacity is used
A room's capacity is the default number of spots for classes held in that room. It is only a fallback: if a class type sets its own capacity, or a specific class has its own capacity, that wins over the room's.
Change a room's capacity
When you change the capacity of a room that already has classes, Ferb asks whether to update the upcoming classes that use the room default:
Room default only updates just the room, so future classes pick up the new number.
Update scheduled classes also applies it to upcoming classes that inherit the room default.
Lowering a room's capacity below the number already booked is allowed; existing bookings are kept.
Troubleshooting
"Name is required" or "Capacity must be at least 1." Give the room a name and a capacity of 1 or more.
Changing the room capacity did not change my classes. Classes with their own capacity, or a class type default, ignore the room default; only inheriting classes are affected, and only if you choose Update scheduled classes.
You cannot add a room. You need the owner or manager role with access to that location.
