Publish an event to make it live
Creating an event saves it as a draft. A draft is not live: it does not show on your public schedule, private and host links are not generated, and host checkout is not created. An event becomes real only when you publish the schedule week it sits in. This applies to every event type - public, private-link, host-paid, and internal hold.
You need the owner or manager role to publish. Staff can create events but cannot publish them.
Steps
In the sidebar, go to Schedule -> Edit to open the schedule editor.
Go to the week that contains your event. Your draft event appears in that week.
Review the week, then click Publish.
What happens
When the week publishes, Ferb makes the event live and sets up the parts that depend on its type:
Public: the event appears on your public schedule and attendees can check out (or are sent to your external booking URL).
Private link: the private booking link is generated. Open the event from Schedule -> Events to copy and share it.
Host-paid: for online payment, the host checkout link is created and the event stays Pending payment until the host pays; manual and free events are confirmed.
Internal hold: the room is blocked for that time.
Notes
If you create an event but never publish the week, nothing goes live and no links are generated.
Because staff cannot publish, a staff-created event waits until an owner or manager publishes the week.
Troubleshooting
The event is not live after creating it. Creating only makes a draft; publish the schedule week.
There is no private or host link yet. Links are generated on publish; publish the week first.
You do not see a Publish option. Publishing needs the owner or manager role.
