Configure transactional emails
Transactional emails are the automatic messages Ferb sends your members: booking confirmations, reminders, receipts, cancellations, and more. Set the address they come from and customise their wording under Settings.
You need the owner role to change the sender. Owners and managers can view and preview templates.
Set your sender identity
1. Go to Settings -> Email.
2. In the Sender identity card, set:
- Sender name - the "From" name members see.
- Sender email - the address emails come from. It must be on a domain you control.
- Reply-to email - where replies go (defaults to the sender email).
3. Click Save changes.
A new sender email must be verified before Ferb sends from it. See Verify sender email and DNS. Until it is verified, Ferb sends from the default Ferb address so nothing is missed.
Customise the emails
In the Transactional Emails card, click Open editor.
Pick a template, for example booking confirmation, reminder, or receipt.
Edit its wording - subject, heading, body, and button - and adjust the shared email style (colours, logo, and fonts).
You can reset a template back to Ferb's default copy, or turn a template off.
Good to know
Emails use their own style, set in this editor, which is separate from the Branding page. Changing your brand colour under Branding does not restyle your emails; set the email colour here.
Some system emails, such as the invoice email, are not editable here.
Troubleshooting
Save changes is disabled. Nothing has changed yet; edit a field first.
"Sender name and email are required." Fill in both.
"Failed to configure sender." The email or its domain was rejected; check the address and try again.
You cannot edit the sender or templates. Changing the sender and templates needs the owner role.
