Configure substitution and staff-app settings
Control how teachers swap shifts in the Ferb Staff app, and whether they can edit their own profile, from a location's settings.
You need the owner or manager role. One of the settings is owner-only; see below.
Open the settings
Go to Settings -> Locations and open the location.
Find the Ferb Staff app card.
The settings
Auto-approve substitutions (this location) - when on, a teacher accepting an open shift instantly swaps the teacher and notifies the booked attendees. When off, an accepted shift waits for a manager to approve it.
Notify all staff when an open shift is requested (this location) - when on, every staff member at the location is notified. When off, only managers and owners are.
Allow teachers to edit profile photos and descriptions (applies to your whole studio) - when off, teachers can still edit their studio email, but their profile photo and public description are managed from the dashboard instead.
Change the toggles and save.
Good to know
The two substitution settings are per location; set them on each location as needed.
The profile-edits toggle applies to your whole studio, not just this location, even though it lives on the location page.
Only owners can change the profile-edits toggle. A manager can change the two substitution settings, but saving a change to the profile-edits toggle will fail for a manager.
